IBC: Grass Valley Leads the Media Revolution

Grass Valley Unveils Groundbreaking Innovations at IBC 2025

Grass Valley, a leader in media and entertainment technology innovation, is set to showcase its Grass Valley Media Universe (GVMU) at IBC 2025, taking place from September 12 to 15 at RAI Amsterdam. The company will present significant advancements that span every stage of the media production workflow. Alongside its GV Alliance partners, Grass Valley will demonstrate end-to-end solutions designed to empower media organizations globally, driving the pace of industry transformation.

Visitors can expect to find Grass Valley at its familiar location in Hall 9, Booth 9.A01. Here, the company will share stories of its successful organic growth, including notable year-over-year increases in bookings and revenue across its product lineup. This momentum is attributed to Grass Valley's dedication to innovation, the swift adoption of its AMPP ecosystem (with bookings rising over 120% YoY), and the ongoing success of core products like the newly updated Karerra and K-Frame VXP production switchers, as well as the refreshed LDX-100 series camera range, which includes the new LDX 180 Super 35 system camera.

These cutting-edge solutions will be on display in Amsterdam as part of the broader GVMU ecosystem. The LDX 180 camera, recently launched at the NAB Show in April, will make its European debut at IBC 2025. Featuring an in-house-developed 10K Super 35 Xenios imager, this camera combines cinematic depth-of-field with the speed and precision needed for live production. It allows media companies to redefine storytelling with native UHD output in exceptional quality. Grass Valley will also unveil a brand-new addition to the LDX portfolio exclusively at the event.

The K-Frame VXP production switcher and Karerra V2 control panels, which made their debut at IBC 2024, are now available for shipping. A new networking portfolio will also be introduced at IBC 2025, seamlessly connecting traditional SDI and IP workflows. Whether used as a high-density gateway or a bridge to the AMPP GRID fabric, these solutions offer unmatched scalability, density, and efficiency for virtualized workflows. By bridging hardware and virtualized environments, they provide media organizations with the flexibility to simplify infrastructure and optimize resources according to their specific needs.

The GVMU’s ability to orchestrate the entire production chain, from the first cue to the final cut, will be demonstrated through major developments in integrated replay and end-to-end production automation. Upgrades to the LiveTouch X replay system and the Framelight X ingest and content management platform will be showcased alongside how the core capabilities of AMPP OS are delivering tightly integrated workflows that reduce effort, increase flexibility, and improve efficiency. Grass Valley will also present its instantly deployable Playout and FAST offerings, providing media organizations with tools to launch, adapt, and scale with ease.

These solutions have been developed in close collaboration with key GV Alliance partners, with new partnership announcements expected to be revealed in the lead-up to the show. The drive for technology transformation across the industry will be a central theme at this year’s GV Forum, scheduled for Thursday, September 11, at the Rosarium, Amstelpark. CEO Jon Wilson will lead discussions from the company’s leadership team, offering strategic industry perspectives and updates on the latest innovations in software-defined technology.
