Florida's Aldi Expansion Continues with New Store Openings

Florida is experiencing a significant expansion of Aldi stores, with multiple new locations opening throughout the state this year. The discount grocery chain has been steadily increasing its presence in the Sunshine State, and the latest developments include several grand openings scheduled for August, as well as additional store openings planned for later in 2025.

Recent and Upcoming Store Openings

Several new Aldi locations have already opened in Florida this year, with more set to follow. Among the most recent openings are stores in Odessa, Crawfordville, Jensen Beach, and Westlake, which opened earlier in July. Additionally, there are at least 22 Aldi locations that have already launched in Florida this year, with 17 more expected to open soon.

For those eager to visit an Aldi store before August, there are two new locations opening on July 31: one in Port Orange and another in St. Cloud. These openings will be part of the company’s Golden Ticket program, where the first 100 customers will receive a gift bag containing exclusive Aldi products and a gift card valued at $10, $25, or $100. Shoppers can also register for a chance to win a $500 gift card without making a purchase.

About Aldi

Aldi is an international chain of no-frills grocery stores known for offering low prices and a streamlined shopping experience. Unlike traditional supermarkets like Winn-Dixie, Aldi does not have a meat counter, deli, pharmacy, bakery, or liquor store. The stores feature fewer brands, limited displays, and shorter operating hours, all aimed at keeping costs low.

Customers pay a quarter for a shopping cart, which can be returned for a refund. Grocery bags are provided free of charge, and shoppers are encouraged to use their own containers or bags from the store. Aldi offers a "Twice is Nice" guarantee on its store-brand products and regularly features limited-time offers called "FINDS."

Founded in 1946 by Karl and Theo Albrecht, Aldi was originally named "Albrecht Diskont." The company split into two separate entities, Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd, in 1960 after a disagreement over whether to sell cigarettes. U.S. operations are managed by Aldi Süd, while Aldi Nord owns Trader Joe’s.
