New Costco Location Opens in The Villages, Florida

Costco has recently opened its newest location in The Villages, Florida. The store officially welcomed customers on Wednesday morning, marking another expansion for the popular membership-based warehouse club retailer. This new facility is located at 675 Tatonka Terrace within the Buffalo Ridge Shopping Plaza, adjacent to County Road 466.

The new store spans 162,000 square feet and features a 2,000-square-foot liquor store. In addition, the location includes 700 parking spaces and a gas station with 32 fuel pumps. These amenities are designed to cater to both members and non-members, offering convenience and variety in one place.

Store Hours and Membership Options

The operating hours for the new Costco in The Villages vary depending on the type of membership. For Executive Members, the store is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Gold Star and Business Members can visit between 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekdays, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Costco offers three types of memberships, each with different benefits:

• Gold Star Membership:
  Annual fee: $65
  Benefits include access to all Costco locations, two membership cards (one primary and one free household card), and discounts on products and services.

• Executive Membership:
  Annual fee: $130 (includes the $65 Gold Star fee plus an additional $65 upgrade fee)

Expansion in Florida

Florida now has 35 Costco locations, with the latest opening in The Villages. The previous new location was in Stuart in April, and another is set to open in Sanford at the Seminole Towne Center Mall. Plans are also underway for potential new stores in Port St. Lucie, Pensacola, and Miami.
