Pokémon TCG Pocket Blissey ex Event Overview

The latest battle event in Pokémon TCG Pocket is now live, running from August 6 to August 16, 2025. This event centers around Blissey ex, a powerful Colorless-type Pokémon ex card that can be a great addition to decks of any type. To participate in the event, players need stamina, which regenerates one gem every 12 hours. Losing a battle doesn’t cost stamina, and players can earn Event Hourglasses by completing battles for the first time. These hourglasses help reduce the time needed to regain stamina.

Each battle also includes Battle Tasks, which offer additional rewards, as well as Chance Rewards that provide rare promo cards. The event presents various challenges, and players who successfully defeat all the Blissey ex decks will receive impressive rewards.

Best Decks for the Blissey ex Drop Event

Blissey ex is weak to Fighting-type attacks, making Fighting decks a strong choice. However, most Fighting decks are typically slow, except for one with the inclusion of Passimian ex from Celestial Guardians. This deck has been selected as the best option for the event:

  • Passimian ex (2)
  • Geodude (2)
  • Graveler
  • Golem (2) - Mythical Island
  • Brock (2)
  • Leaf (2)
  • Professor’s Research (2)
  • Pokémon Communication (2)
  • Poké Ball (2)
  • Rare Candy (2)
  • Rocky Helmet

Passimian ex introduces a unique ability that allows transferring all its energy to another Pokémon when knocked out, enabling quick setup of other Pokémon. Golem from Mythical Island complements this strategy with high HP and significant damage output. Brock ensures the ability to set up Golem instantly, making this deck fast and consistent.

Best Low Rarity Deck for the Blissey ex Event

For players facing low rarity challenges, using only cards of ♢, ♢♢, or ♢♢♢ rarity is required. A recommended deck includes:

  • Oricorio (2) - Pom-Pom
  • Tapu Koko (2)
  • Shaymin (2) - Triumphant Light/Sky Forme
  • Professor’s Research (2)
  • Sabrina (2)
  • Giovanni (2)
  • Pokémon Communication (2)
  • Poké Ball (2)
  • Potion (2)
  • Giant Cape (2)

Oricorio prevents damage from Pokémon ex cards, while Tapu Koko swaps after attacking, allowing Oricorio to return to the front. Shaymin Sky Forme removes Oricorio’s retreat cost, enabling free switches between Oricorio and Tapu Koko. This deck is effective against opponents using Blissey ex and Ho-Oh ex, making it a top choice for these challenges.

All Promo Cards in the Blissey ex Drop Event

Players who earn Promo Packs during the event will find them in the gifts menu on the app's home page. Each Promo Pack contains five random cards, including Blissey ex, Horsea, Chinchou, Houndoom, and Kangaskhan. Each card has an equal chance of appearing, giving a 20% chance for each.

Blissey ex is particularly valuable due to its versatility across different deck types. It requires four energy to use its attack, Happy Punch, dealing 100 damage and healing 60 if the coin flip lands heads. This makes it a strong asset in many decks, especially when paired with Ho-Oh ex for energy support.

Horsea and Chinchou also have unique abilities, with Horsea dealing 10 damage and Chinchou forcing a swap of the opponent’s active Pokémon. The other cards in the Promo Pack are alternate artwork variants of their main set counterparts, offering visual variety without changes to moves or stats.
