100th State Fair of West Virginia Set to Celebrate a Century of Tradition
The 100th State Fair of West Virginia is set to take place in 2025, marking a significant milestone for the event that has long been a cornerstone of community and agricultural celebration. The fair will be held in the Fairlea area of Greenbrier County, starting on Thursday, August 7, and running through Saturday, August 16. This year promises to be a special occasion as it honors the rich history of the fair while creating new memories for future generations.
Exciting Lineup of Events and Performances
The fair will open its gates each day at 8:00 a.m., with carnival rides operating from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The excitement begins with a lineup of concerts that will feature some of the most popular names in music. Highlights include T-Pain on August 7, Kansas and 38 Special on August 8, and Buckin’ B Bull Ride on August 9. Other performances include Zach Top with Cole Goodwin on August 10, Cornell Gunter’s Coasters, Drifters, and Platters on August 11, Nate Smith with Preston Cooper on August 12, Wyatt Flores with Kashus Culpepper on August 13, Lauren Daigle with Franni Cash on August 14, Jeff Dunham on August 15, and Miranda Lambert with Myles Morgan on August 16.

Visitors can look forward to a wide range of attractions and activities throughout the fair. These include the Hot Glass Academy, where attendees can witness the art of glassblowing, the Sea Lion Splash Show, the Oregon Trail Display, the Moogician, Swifty Swine Pig Racing, and the hypnotist Catherine Hickland on the UScellular Free Stage.
For those interested in livestock events, there will be a ten-day schedule featuring the Draft Horse Pull at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 15, horse shows, Junior 4-H and FFA livestock shows, and the WV High School Rodeo. Additionally, children 10 years old and younger will have free access to the fair every day, making it a family-friendly event.
