DC Universe Infinite launches in 8 new countries, offers browser access in UK

DC Universe Infinite Expands to New Markets

DC’s official digital comics subscription service, DC Universe Infinite (DCUI), is undergoing a major expansion that significantly broadens its global reach. This move comes at an exciting time for fans, as DC continues to dominate best-seller charts with new series and this rollout ensures more readers can access these titles.

DC has now unlocked over 35,000 comics for millions of new readers, officially expanding DCUI to eight additional countries: Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden.

Previously unavailable in these regions, this expansion marks a significant milestone for fans, as a membership now grants them access to tens of thousands of classic and new comics. Additionally, UK readers are also receiving an exciting update to DCUI.

UK Receives Unique Update with Web Browser Access

In addition to DCUI expanding to eight countries, the UK will receive a unique update: the service is now accessible through web browsers. This is the first time fans outside the U.S. can use DCUI beyond mobile and tablet devices. This upgrade opens up a whole new reading experience for fans and signals that this change may soon expand to other countries as well.

While the web browser experience for DCUI is currently limited to UK and U.S. readers, the app-based experience remains just as impressive. Through tablet or phone, fans who subscribe to the Ultra tier can access a library of over 35,000 English-language DC Comics, along with the full DC GO! lineup of original vertical-scroll webcomics, providing a robust digital reading option.

“Bringing DC UNIVERSE INFINITE and DC GO! to more fans around the world has been a major focus,” said Anne DePies, DC’s senior vice president and general manager. “Expanding access to our library lets global audiences enjoy DC stories anytime, anywhere.”

Ultra Tier Offers One of the Largest Digital Libraries

Fans who subscribe to DCUI’s Ultra tier will find they have access to everything from modern comics dominating the best-selling charts, such as the Absolute titles and the relaunched Batman (2025), to classic fan-favorites like Batman: Under the Red Hood, All-Star Superman, and even vintage MAD Magazine issues. The Ultra tier offers one of the most expansive digital libraries DC has ever assembled.

New issues of DC’s ongoing series become available for Ultra subscribers just one month after they hit comic shops, allowing fans to keep up with the latest titles in a timely fashion. These releases are adapted to the scrolling format we’ve all become accustomed to through social media and other digital reading platforms, making for a streamlined and enjoyable experience.

A Great Resource for New and Experienced Fans

DCUI is also ideal for fans who aren’t sure what they want to read or are new to comics. The service houses thousands of issues tied to DC’s biggest films and shows, from Superman (2025) and The Suicide Squad to Peacemaker and next year’s Supergirl, inspired by Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Hence, no matter your tastes, you’ll find something to enjoy with DC Universe Infinite.

This expansion not only brings more content to existing fans but also introduces new readers to the vast world of DC Comics. With the ability to access comics through multiple platforms and a growing selection of titles, DCUI continues to solidify its position as a leading digital comics service.
