Five Exciting Products in for Testing: Rotel, Cambridge Audio, and Philips
Exciting New Products to Watch in 2025
As the holiday season approaches, it's time to take a break from the festive cheer and focus on some of the most anticipated hi-fi and AV products hitting the market. From groundbreaking headphone amplifiers to next-generation TVs, there's plenty to look forward to.
Rotel DX-3: A New Era for Headphone Amplification

Rotel, a brand with a rich history spanning six decades, has made its mark in the world of hi-fi with the release of the DX-3. This is the first headphone amplifier from the company, designed to be the "ultimate desktop audio companion." The DX-3 offers a range of features including a DAC, preamp functions, and two headphone ports (6.3mm and 4.4mm) with selectable gain options. It also supports aptX HD Bluetooth, high-resolution files up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD256, and provides a variety of analogue and digital connectivity options. With a compact design that fits easily on a desk, the DX-3 is priced at £1399 / $1499. We're eager to test this new addition to Rotel's lineup.
Luxman E-07: A Successor to a Classic

The Luxman E-07 is the successor to the highly acclaimed EQ-500 phono stage, which we reviewed back in 2017. Known for its exquisite build quality and sound performance, the E-07 is part of Luxman's centennial celebrations. This new model features a refined build, tactile toggle switches and dials, and carefully selected components prioritized for supreme audio quality. Priced at £5500, the E-07 requires a high-performance turntable system to fully showcase its capabilities, which is exactly what we've been using for testing.
Cambridge Audio Evo 150 SE: A Refined Streaming Amplifier

Cambridge Audio's Evo 150 SE is the latest iteration of their successful streaming amplifier line. Following the discontinuation of the Evo 75 and Evo 150 models, the Evo 150 SE offers a sleek industrial design with a large display screen and swappable side panels. It includes an MM phono stage, HDMI ARC, and extensive streaming features powered by the StreamMagic Gen 4 platform. The internal Class D amplification uses a new Hypex NCOREx module, delivering 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Cambridge claims improvements throughout the signal path and the use of higher-quality components to enhance sound performance.
Sony Bravia 3: Entry-Level 4K HDR TV

Sony's Bravia 3 series is the entry-level 4K HDR TV in their lineup. The cheapest model in the range lacks local dimming, which means it faces competition from TCL models with full Mini LED backlights. We have the 65-inch model in for testing, currently priced at £849. We'll be comparing it against the 65-inch TCL C7K, a 2025 What Hi-Fi? Award winner known for its excellent value and punchy picture.
Philips OLED910: A Premium OLED Experience

After a long delay, we are finally completing our review of the Philips OLED910, the first Primary RGB Tandem OLED TV. This model combines super-bright, next-generation panel technology with Philips' classy styling and four-sided Ambilight. The OLED910 is priced lower than its competitors, including the LG G5, Panasonic Z95B, Samsung S95F, and the award-winning Sony Bravia 8 II. It features an integrated Bowers & Wilkins 3.1 sound system (81W total, 8 channels) and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Our initial impressions can be found in this hands-on review, with the final verdict coming soon.
