How to earn three stars in this week's Arc Raiders trials
Understanding the Trials System in Arc Raiders
Arc Raiders features a unique ranking system known as Trials, where players compete against each other to achieve high scores on five challenges each week. Completing these tasks earns you points that contribute to your position on the leaderboard. The competition can be intense, but if you're aiming for all the exclusive Trials rewards, it's essential to give it your best shot.
This article will walk you through this week’s Trials challenges and provide tips on how to complete them effectively for a high score.
This Week’s Trial Challenges (Week 7)
The current Trials challenges are available from Monday, December 8, until Monday, December 15. Here's a breakdown of what you need to do:
Destroy Ticks, Fireballs, and Pops
These three types of Arcs are common enemies in the game. A recommended strategy is to head to the Dam Battlegrounds and clear out the underground tunnels connecting Water Treatment and Research & Administration. From there, move up to the Control Tower basement and go all the way to the top.
Alternatively, you can visit the Buried City and explore areas like the Parking Garage, residential zones, or metro stations, which often have these enemies.

Search Supply Drops
Opening a Supply Drop in Arc Raiders is usually straightforward. As mentioned earlier, one is always located in the Hydroponic Dome Complex in Dam Battlegrounds. You can also find others by looking for a pole with a light on top and a console at the bottom that you can activate to call one in.
Damage Wasps
Wasps are among the most common Arcs in the game. For a high-density encounter, head to the Power Generation Complex or near the Control Tower on Dam Battlegrounds. There are also many Wasps in the Buried City, and since the map is smaller, you can easily set up on a rooftop to snipe them. However, be cautious of drawing attention from other players.
As with any flying Arc, targeting the propellers is the most effective method.
Damage Bastions
Bastions are more challenging enemies, and getting three stars for this Trial isn’t easy—except for one that spawns in Marano Park. You can find Bastions on multiple maps, but the Buried City offers the best opportunities, particularly in Plaza Rosa, Marano Park, or near the Parking Garage.
To identify a Bastion, look for two spotter Arcs patrolling nearby. The best way to damage them is by blasting their legs away using a Ferro or Anvil, though explosives can also be effective.
Damage Queens or Matriarchs
Despite being the toughest Arcs in the game, these enemies are relatively easy to locate. Wait for the Harvester (Queen) or Matriarch map events on Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, or Blue Gate.
For maximum effectiveness, use a Hullcracker and Wolfpacks, but even a Ferro or Anvil with heavier grenades can help.
Scoring and Strategy Tips
Understanding the scoring system is crucial. Only your personal best score during a single run for each challenge contributes to your overall ranking. Therefore, preparation is key.
Additionally, you can earn double Trial Score points when specific map conditions are active, such as Night Raid, Electromagnetic Storm, and Hidden Bunker. It's always beneficial to attempt the challenges during these events.
Playing with two other players is also highly recommended, not only because it makes staying alive easier but also because the score is shared, allowing you to achieve higher scores with less effort.
Trials Rewards
There are two types of rewards for participating in the Trials system: challenge rewards and seasonal rewards.
Challenge rewards are earned by scoring points on weekly tasks and typically include a loot box (which may contain blueprints). Seasonal rewards, however, are more exciting and depend on your final rank at the end of the season.
The current season rewards include:
- Rookie II: Happy Jig emote
- Rookie III: Black Eye face style
- Tryhard I: Archaeologist backpack colour
- Tryhard III: Briefcase backpack attachment
- Wildcard I: Mastery Medal backpack charm
- Wildcard III: Bow and Arrow emote
- Daredevil I: Patrol outfit and headgear
- Cantina Legend: Scarlet Black colour for the Patrol outfit
