Samsung's New Magnet Wireless Battery Pack Leaks on Qi2 Database
What You Need to Know
A new Samsung product, the "Magnet Wireless Battery Pack," has recently surfaced on the Wireless Power Consortium's (WPC) Qi2 database. This portable charger is equipped with Qi2 magnets and can charge compatible devices at up to 15W. The battery pack features a unique design that includes cutouts to accommodate the camera bumps found on Galaxy phones.

Samsung is gradually expanding its ecosystem of Qi2 magnetic charging accessories, though it's doing so at a slower pace compared to Apple or Google. One area where Samsung is notably behind is in the development of portable chargers. The brand does not yet have a first-party magnetic power bank available, which makes charging ultra-thin phones like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge challenging. In contrast, Apple effectively marketed the new MagSafe Battery as an essential accessory for the slim iPhone Air.
This situation may soon change, as a new Samsung magnetic power bank has appeared on the WPC's Qi2 database (via 9to5Google). It is called the "Magnet Wireless Battery Pack" and has a certification date of December 5, 2025. According to the database listing, the power bank uses the magnetic power profile (MPP), meaning it includes magnets for a secure connection with Qi2 devices and cases.
The Magnet Wireless Power Bank supports Qi2.1 and will reach a maximum of 15W charging speeds. It does not support Qi2.2 25W, so it cannot deliver 25W speeds to supported devices. However, this is unlikely to be a significant issue, as most chargers and accessories cannot sustain wireless 25W power delivery for more than a few minutes.
According to the listing, the model number for the Magnet Wireless Power Bank is EB-U2500. This follows a previous leak that revealed a Samsung Qi2 magnetic charging dock last week.
Overall, it appears that Samsung will indeed integrate embedded Qi2 magnets directly into the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Fold 7 require a compatible case to unlock full magnetic Qi2 support.
Addressing a Unique Galaxy Design Flaw

One interesting aspect of the Samsung Magnet Wireless Battery Pack is its design. Based on the one render available on the WPC database, the power bank mostly has a rectangular shape. However, there are clearly cutouts on the corners that curve around the Qi2 magnetic ring. This creates an unusual visual design, but it serves a purpose.
Samsung's rear camera lens arrangement can interfere with Qi2 charging accessories. While Apple and Google phones have more compact camera arrangements near the top of the devices, Samsung's single-lens arrangements protrude deeper into the body of the phone. This can prevent Qi2 chargers from sitting flush. It seems that the Magnet Wireless Battery Pack is specifically designed to address this compatibility issue.
Samsung has not officially confirmed the Magnet Wireless Battery Pack on its side yet. We might see it debut alongside the Galaxy S26 series next year.
