Local Inventor's Sound Device Boosts Focus and Concentration

Business News from Eastern Idaho
Eastern Idaho is buzzing with new developments in the business world. From innovative products to community events, here's a look at what's happening this week.
A New Sound Device for Better Focus

In Idaho Falls, a local entrepreneur is making waves with a unique product designed to help students with ADHD stay focused. Tina Kramer, a 56-year-old resident, has developed a sound device that she believes can significantly improve concentration in the classroom.
Kramer recently launched a company called Simple Learning, which sells a patented product known as The Sound Device. This device is worn like a necklace and uses a bone-conductive speaker to emit a low, intermittent sound. According to Kramer, it cycles through seven specific sounds every eight seconds, which are designed to be grounding and enhance focus.
“It’s sound therapy on the go,” Kramer explains in an interview with HAWXTECH.NET. While the device is primarily aimed at children with ADHD, Kramer notes that it can benefit anyone struggling with concentration.
ADHD affects over 6 million children in the United States, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control. Many of these children turn to medication or strict behavioral interventions, but Kramer believes her device offers a scientific alternative. A YouTube video provides more details about how the device works.
Kramer began developing the idea years ago while working as a teacher in Japan. She had several students with ADHD and was determined to find ways to help them focus in class. Her own experience with ADHD, which she was diagnosed with at age 50, further fueled her mission.
Over time, Kramer created a device that she has used in her private tutoring business for the past five years. Her invention recently received recognition when it won an award in a pitch contest similar to “Shark Tank” by Silicon Couloir, a nonprofit based in Jackson, Wyoming.
The patent for The Sound Device was approved earlier this year, and it is now available for purchase online through Kramer’s website. A parent shared their positive experience with the device, stating, “My daughter can finally sit through her assignments without distraction. The Sound Device changed our home.”
Kramer is now fully dedicated to promoting her product and encouraging others to try it. “This is the device I wished I had growing up,” she says in a news release. “This isn’t just tech — it’s hope for families who’ve tried everything else.”
Kramer is currently working on rebranding the device, which will be unveiled soon. To place an order or learn more, visit the official website.
